Chandigarh: In a bid to prevent spike in COVID-19 cases in Punjab, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today ordered for imposition of night curfew in all towns and cities from 10 pm to 5 am from December 1.
Punjab has doubled the fine for violating COVID-19 norms like not wearing a mask or not maintaining social distancing to Rs 1,000.
The State Government also announced that hotels, restaurants, marriage places will have to close their business at 9:30 pm.
The COVID-19 caseload in Punjab stands at 1,47,665, including 6,834 active cases, as per the official data.
