Puri: On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian visited Puri Srimandir early in the morning on Monday and reviewed the ambitious Parikrama project.
The 5T Chairman made a review on the various aspects of the project from 5 am to 7 am and some important instructions for the completion of the project on time.
He also gave instructions to facilitate proper darshan of deities by the devotees.
A presentation was made at the office of SJTA regarding the arrangements for devotees for darshan of Lord Jagannath.
Pandian laid emphasis on proper crowd management and facilitating the darshan arrangement for the devotees.
He ordered to speed up the restoration work of various mathas in the pilgrim city. He urged to employ more number of skilled artisans to rebuild the Mathas.
Pandian further directed to make adequate arrangements for parking of two-wheelers for the convenience of sevayats and reviewed the landscaping works.
The 5T Chairman also directed to complete all the electrical works near the ‘Meghanad Prachir’ on time.
MLA Pranab Prakash Das, Puri Collector, IG, SP OBCC MD and officials of various executing agencies were present during the 5T Chairman’s visit.
