Puri: The Puri district administration today took strong action against a hotel here for allegedly violating the lockdown, which has been imposed in the entire district to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As per sources, an FIR has been lodged against Hotel Dev Bhumi at Baliapanda, Puri under section 269/170/271/188 of IPC for violations of lockdown, which is in force till March 29.
Hotel Dev Bhumi had in utter disregard to the lockdown order of the competent authority kept open its business establishment, and thus posed a serious threat to the health of individuals and the community as a whole.
Three foreigners who were putting up there, from Ukraine and Germany had been made to check out and have been sent to Bhubaneswar Airport from where they will leave for their respective countries.
Necessary car pass for these tourists for the journey to Bhubaneswar Airport by District Administration has been ensured, said an official.
