Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has filed a complaint against one more sevayat for allegedly using mobile phone on chariot during the Bahuda yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
The complaint was filed at Singhadwar police station in Puri town.
Photographs of the sevayat using the phone on Dwarpadalana, the chariot of Maa Subhadra, was published in the newspapers.
Based the reports, the SJTA has decided to take legal action against the sevayat.
The SJTA has also received the complaints of other sevayats using mobile phones on chariots.
The temple administration said that it would approach the police for necessary action against them.
Notably, the SJTA has banned sevayats from carrying mobile phones to the chariots of the deities. Similarly, unauthorized persons will also be not allowed the chariots, the temple administration said.
