Puri: In view of delay in ‘Suna Besha’ rituals of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra on the occasion of Pausha Purnima today, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has sought an enquiry report into the incident.
Speaking to media, SJTA Chief Administrator Dr Krishan Kumar said, ” We are very sorry for the incident and concerned over sentiments of the devotees being hurt due to this incident. ”
It has occurred due to the difference of opinion between two Nijogo about their rights. We will have a meeting with these two Nijogo and find out a permanent solution to avoid to reoccurrence of such incident in future, he added.
“We will go by the Record of Rights (RoR) of Srimandir to resolve the dispute”, he further added.
Meanwhile, Niti Administrator has been asked to probe whether any specific person is creating the problem and delay in rituals.
As per the reports, the Suna Besha rituals have been delayed by at least five hours today.
In another important decision, SJTA has also decided to conduct Covid-19 test of servitor again and scheduled has also been fixed for the same.
