Bhubaneswar: Raghubar Das will be sworn in as the new Governor of Odisha today. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Raj Bhavan at 11:45 am today. Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Dr. Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi will administer the oath to the new Governor. He will be the 26th Governor of the state. He will replace Professor Ganesh Lal. President Draupadi Murmu had appointed Raghubar Das as the new Governor of Odisha on October 18. Before being sworn in as the new Governor, Raghubar Das today offered prayers at the Lingaraja Temple.
Before being appointed as the Governor, Raghubar Das was the National Vice President of BJP. Raghubar Das became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand after the NDA won the assembly elections in 2014. He was the Chief Minister of the state till 2019.
