Puri: In a big development, the Puri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee (SJTMC) has decided to start the construction of chariots for the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath scheduled to be held on June 23.
The decision has been taken at a SJTMC meeting chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibya Singha Deb.
The Puri Gajapati Maharaja said that the Committee has recommended the government to start construction of the three chariots.
The State government will take a decision soon, he said.
