Rayagada and Jharsuguda Dists Covered under Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha 

Bhubaneswar: The pace of development in Rayagada and Jharsuguda districts will be further accelerated as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched the State Government’s ambitious Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme in both the districts.

Under the programme, three constituencies of Rayagada district have been sanctioned with Rs 91 crore. The constituencies are Rayagada, Gunupur and Bisamacuttack. A total of 2613 development projects in 182 gram panchayats in 11 blocks of these constituencies will be implemented. Similarly, Rs 39 crore has been sanctioned for two constituencies of Jharsuguda district. The constituencies are – Jharsuguda and Brajarajnagar. As many as 957 projects will be taken up in 78 GPs of five blocks.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the spread of culture and improvement of modern infrastructure will take our villages to the peak of development. New Odisha will spread its wings further and reach new heights to touch the broad spectrum of modern technology from our strong cultural base and we will build New Odisha, Nabin Odisha.

The Chief Minister said that the development of all villages is our goal. Guarantee of development will be ensured for everyone in the village. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed with education and health. Culture will be preserved and modernity will be developed in villages. The developed village will be the identity of modern Odisha.

Odisha is the land of Jagannath. Love, peace, harmony, equality and service are the message of Jagannath culture. Irrespective of caste, religion, community, it has made everyone its own.

The Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme will preserve Jagannath culture in every village. Every place of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be preserved. The Chief Minister said that the preservation and protection of these cultural and heritage sites is essential for our future generations, he said.

Development of digital infrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of this scheme. Internet connection will be available in the village. Science park, skill development centre and works hub will be developed in the villages. Banking facilities will be available. The primary schools of the village will also be involved in this programme. It will bring immense opportunities to our youths, mothers, farmers and students and will further enhance Odisha’s identity as a modern, strong, progressive and culturally aware state, the CM stressed.

 

Participating in the today’s programme, VK Pandian, Chairman, 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and Nabin Odisha, said that the transformation has created enthusiasm among the people.

He said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to bring transformation in all villages through the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme. Our transformation will be a model for other states, he added.

In this program, Minister Jagannath Saraka, MLA Makarand Muduli, MLA Raghunath Gomango, MLA Dipali Das, Alka Mohanty along with Zilla Parishad President, Members, Chairman of Special Development Council, Block Chairman, local Sarpanches attended the programme.

They said that a new era of development has come in the village. In the last 23 years, continuous development is going on in Odisha under the leadership and direction of the Chief Minister. The map of development in Odisha has been completely changed today, they expressed.
