Bhubaneswar: As the moment of landing of India’s third lunar exploration mission – Chandrayaan-3 draws closer, Odisha’s renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has extended his best wishes ahead of the expected soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3.
“Jai Ho ISRO all the best! My miniature sand sculpture at Denver, Colorado in the USA, with message “Jai Ho “ for wishing successful lunar landing of #Chandrayaan-3. I have used 25 KG sand in 45 minutes to create this art”, the international sand artist wrote on a social media post.

Chandrayaan 3 consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan similar to those of the Chandrayaan-2. Its propulsion module acts like an orbiter. The propulsion module carried the lander and rover configuration until the spacecraft attained a 153 × 163 km lunar orbit.
