Bhubaneswar: The rising Odisha is the story of transformation of the entire four and a half crore people of Odisha, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Friday.
“Odisha is rising. And we are doing it without making much of a noise. Our action speaks for itself. In just two decades, Odisha is now a story of transformation and empowerment”, the CM said.
Odisha is a model in disaster management and a net food security provider. The State is a model in women empowerment.
Today, Odisha is a global model in hosting international sporting events and promotion of sports. The Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana has empowered people at the grassroots level, the Chief Minister said in his address at News 18 Group’s conclave on the topic ‘Rising Odisha’.
Naveen said, “After the high school transformation, a student in a remote village of Malkangiri district is now studying in smart classrooms with digital boards. This is transformation. This is empowerment”.
“Odisha is also the top second state in attracting investments. For last several years, Odisha has remained a revenue surplus state. From the bottom of the ranking among states, Odisha has now left many states behind in economic growth. We believe we will be among the top three states in a few years from now”, the CM stated.
The Chief Minister said, “All these have been possible because of our new look governance- a transformative model of governance powered by the 5T initiative. And in every bit of transformation, we are determined to leave no one behind. We have ensured that the poorest of the poor must feel that he or she is a partner of this transformational journey”.
“The rising Odisha is the story of transformation of the entire four and a half crore people of Odisha. I have always held them as my family members”, the CM concluded.
