Rourkela Development Authority Legal Assistant Dismissed from Service for Corruption 

Bhubaneswar: Manoj Kumar Dash, Legal Assistant, Rourkela Development Authority, has been dismissed from government service following his conviction in a corruption case.

The Legal Assistant has been identified as Manoj Kumar Dash.

Dash, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988/109 IPC for his alleged involvement in a corruption case, was dismissed from Govt. service as per provision of OCS(CCA) Rules,1962 by the competent authority following his conviction by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh.

Dash was convicted by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh on 26.06.2024 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months more for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988/109 IPC, the Vigilance said.
