Sambalpur Police Arrests Six Hardcore Criminals; Seizes Eight Countrymade Pistols and Rs 11 Lakhs In Cash

Sambalpur: The Sambalpur Police has successfully detected a gang of hardcore criminals involved in smuggling of arms including country made rifles and ammunitions. The police has arrested six criminals and seized eight pistols along with 22 rounds of live ammunition and cash amounting to Rs 11.2 lakhs.

According to the Sambalpur Police, the gang members have many criminal cases against them in Dhanupali, Thelkoi, Ainthapali, Sambalpur and Burla police stations and are reportedly involved in a number of criminal activities. The gang members were arrested following a special drive of Sambalpur Police.

Speaking to media, SP Mukesh Bhamoo has said that the Police is investigating the source of the illegal firearms. The arrested criminals include Md. Samsher, Md. Mousim, Manu Pandey, Mohit Paswan, Santosh Moharana and Md Ahmad.
