Sambalpur: STF Seizes Fake Currency Notes with over Rs 15 Lakh Face Value, 2 Arrested

Sambalpur: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch has seized fake currency notes having face value of more than Rs 15 lakh in Sambalpur district and arrested two persons in this connection.

The accused persons have been identified as Podar Prasad Sahu (28) and Janmajaya Bagh (32). Both are from Sambalpur district.

Based on the reliable information about possession of huge quantity of fake currency notes by the accused persons in their Jana Seva Kendra situated near Nua Adhapada village under Jujumara police station limits, the STF conducted raid in the area and found fake currency notes of Rs 15,12,500 and other articles, such as laptops, printer and SIM card from the possession of Podar and Janmajaya.

The duo has prepared the fake currency notes for trading purposes, the STF said.

The STF has seized the fake currency notes and arrested the accused persons for legal action.
