Sarua Land Grabbing Case: Jagi, Baijayant Put Blames on Odisha Infratech Directors

Bhubaneswar: In a desperate bid to the anticipatory bail from the Orissa High Court in Sarua Land Grabbing case, the Promoters of Odisha Infratech Pvt Ltd (OIPL) Baijayant Panda and Jagi Mangat Panda have reportedly put all blames on its directors.
Filling petition for anticipatory bail, both Baijayant Panda and Jagi Mangat Panda have mentioned that they are shareholders and Baijayant was never involved in the company’s day to day business management.

Likewise, they further claimed that Jagi Mangat was OIPL’s director from 23.09.2008 to 13.03.2010.

Later, Bibhu Prasad Rath and Manoranjan Sarangi were appointed as the company’s directors.

Both Bibhu Prasad Rath and Manoranjan Sarangi were running the day-to-day affairs of Odisha Infratech on the capacity of Directors of the company, they claimed.

The plea further mentioned that Rabindra Kumar Sethi, who allegedly purchased land from Scheduled Caste group people and sold the property to OIPL and later, was employed as Bibhu Prasad Rath’s driver.
The company has reportedly bought 7.294 acres of land from 22 SC owners using Rabindra as the land aggregator.

Earlier, the court has withdrew the protection from arrest of duo on November 20.
