Puri: A writ petition has been filed in the Orissa High Court seeking orders for the completion of the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project in the pilgrim city of Puri at the earliest.
The writ petition was filed by fie senior servitors, according to the reports.
Odisha Government, Archaeological Survey of India, Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and Puri Collector have been made parties in the petition.
In the petition, the servitors appealed the High Court to pass orders to the State Government to complete the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project as soon as possible.
They also appealed the court to direct the ASI to permit and co-operate with the State authorities to complete the Puri Parikrama project as expeditiously as possible.
The servitors also alleged that the development work at the Srimandir is being obstructed due to the vested interests of few individuals and political leaders.
