Severe Cyclonic Storm Nisarga Makes Landfall Process, To be Completed in next 3 hours

Mumbai: The landfall process of the sever cyclonic storm Nisarga has started and will be completed in next 3 hours. The northeast sector of the eye of severe cyclonic storm “nisarga” is entering into land, IMD said in its latest bulletin.

Meanwhile the rainfall continuing in maharashtra coast. Mumbai (colaba) reported 72 kmph wind speed at 12:30 today, it added.

Earlier, it intensified into a severe cyclonic storm today morning and headed towards the Maharashtra and South Gujarat coasts. Coastal districts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli have been put on alert in view of the situation and section 144 has been imposed on the coastal regions of Mumbai. Meanwhile, Maharastra, South Gujarat, Goa and Daman have received heavy rainfall.

The Cyclonic storm which is coming at a time when the Corona virus Pandemic has hit hard to Maharashtra, has doubled the headache for the administration. More than 100,000 people, have been moved to safer places. Cyclone Nisarga is about 150 km south-southwest off Mumbai coast and about 105 km south-southwest off Alibaug.
