Silver Cladding of Singhadwara of Srimandir Completed

Puri: The silver cladding of Singhadwar or Lion’s Gate, the main entrance of Srimandir, has been completed.

The work was completed ahead of ‘Niladri Bije’ rituals of Lord Jagannath.

The 15-ft-high Singhadwar, which was of brass metal, was replaced with the silver-clad door. The work has been completed before the deadline Bahuda Yatra (return journey) of deities during Ratha Yatra.

The silver coating work of Singhadwara had begun on June 21. The work was executed by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) under supervision of ASI during Ratha Jatra, as per reports.
