Bhubaneswar: Sindhekela police station IIC Alok Kumar Behera has been placed under suspension by DGP Odisha. Alok was arrested by the Odisha Vigilance on December 5, after being caught taking bribe of Rs 25,000. An order to this effect has been issued by the DG’s Office. “Pending drawl of departmental proceeding, Shri Alok Kumar Behera, IIC, Sindhekela P.S. of Bolangir district is placed under suspension with effect from the date of his arrest i.e. 05.12.2022 in connection with Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No. 41 dated 03.12.2022 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act-2018.”, the order read.
