Hyderabad: At least six persons were injured as two trains were involved in a head-on collision near Hyderabad’s Kacheguda Railway Station at around 10.30 am today, according to media reports.
The driver of one of the trains was also injured in the mishap. No deaths have been reported so far.
As per South Central Railway officials, one was an Intercity Express train while the other was an MMTS train.
The collision is said to have been caused by a fault with the signaling system that meant no alerts were sounded when the trains wound up on the same track, reports added.
