Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to close special schools for students till August 31.
The special schools funded by both the State Government and Centre were scheduled to reopen on July 31 will remain closed now till August 31 in view of the coronavirus pandemic, informed the Odisha Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Earlier this week, the Department has launched an online portal to simplify admission process of the differently-abled students in schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the State.
The Odisha Government has directed 103 special schools across the State to implement online admission systems for the academic year 2020-21.
