Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved three important proposals. Speaking about the decisions, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Niranjan Pujari has said in the Assembly that the Odisha Cabinet took the decision to revoke its previous decision of allowing transfer of land of tribals to non-tribals. In his statement, the Minister has said that the previous decision of the Cabinet regarding transfer of tribal land has been sent to the Tribes Advisory Council for review.
Likewise, the Cabinet has also approved the proposal for improvement of the Odisha State Workflow Automation System (OSWAS). Odisha’s OSWAS has got recognition as one of the best digital workflow systems in the country. Its improvement initiative will take it to the next level under the 5T Initiatives framework.
The Cabinet has also approved sanction of Rs 491.41 crore for repairs, renovation and improvement of infrastructure of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. As the University was established about five decades back in 1962, infrastructure improvement was much necessitated. The sanctioned amount will be spent between 2023-24 to 2027-28.
