Bhubaneswar: Keeping its promise, the Odisha Government has started the bus service from Malkangiri to Panasput area in Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri district.
The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has introduced the bus service fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of Swabhiman Anchal.
MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi and Chitrakonda MLA Purna Chandra Baka flagged off the bus service from Malkangiri to Panasput in the district this morning.
As per the schedule, the bus will start from Malkangiri at 6 am and reach Panasput at 10 am. In the afternoon, it will start from Panasput at 2 pm and reach Malkangiri at 7 pm.
Recently, 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited Malkangiri district to review various development programmes. People of Swabhiman Anchal met him and apprised him about need for bus service to their area. The 5T Secretary promised that the State Government would provide the bus service within 10 days.
