State-level Children Fest ‘Suravi’ Concludes

Bhubaneswar: The state-level children festival ‘Suravi’ concluded on Thursday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik participated in the closing ceremony of the festival and inspired the children to raise their thought process.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that our children have infinite talents. Our students are gifted in all fields including dance, singing, sports, art, innovation and science, the CM said.

The Chief Minister advised the children to strive to take their potential to the world and achieve unlimited success and gain fame in the world.

Highlighting the transformation of Odisha, the Chief Minister said that the era of transformation in the state has started from schools.

“Children are now learning through digital technology. The environment of the school has also become very beautiful. There is also a nice playground. You are no less than anyone,” he added.

Wishing the children a bright future, the Chief Minister said, “I have full faith, your future will be bright. My blessings are and will be with you”.

The Chief Minister congratulated the children who won prizes.

It is worth mentioning here that this year 3549 children were given ‘Odia Bhasa Bruti’. Each child got a one-time scholarship of Rs 5,000. The scholarship amount was transferred to their account online. The scholarship is awarded to the students who have secured the highest marks in the matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education.

The Chief Minister felicitated the top five awardees in the State.

In addition to this, the Chief Minister awarded the Suravi Award to three differently-abled students.

The Chief Minister unveiled the Mo School coffee table book and a newsletter on the occasion.

Attending the programme, School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi said that the Chief Minister always gives importance to children.

Today’s child is tomorrow’s future. Keeping in mind the future of children, the Chief Minister started 5T school transformation, he added.

More than 2000 students from different districts took part in the Suravi programme this year.
