STF Recovers Live Pangolin in Subarnapur, Two Wildlife Criminals Held

Subarnapur: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch has recovered a live pangolin in Subarnapur district and arrested two wildlife criminals in this connection.

The STF recovered the pangolin during a raid near Dunguripalli Chowk under Dungurpalli police limits in the district.
The poachers were identified as Ashok Bisi and Jaykumar Patel.

They were allegedly planning for a deal with some interstate traders to sell out a pangolin near the Dunguripali area. The STF recovered the pangolin from their possession and handed it over to the forest officials, according to reports.

The STF initiated a special drive against the wildlife criminals/poachers in 2020, and it still continues. Since 2020, STF has rescued as many as 16 pangolins.
