Subarnapur: With Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directing officials to work dedicatedly to provide government services at the doorsteps of the people under the 5T model of governance, the Subarnapur administration has started a unique initiative to ensure service delivery at the doorsteps of the people at remote areas in the district.
Aptly known as ‘Jan Sampark Setu’, the programme aims at taking the welfare programmes and developmental schemes at the doorsteps of the people.
Talking about it, Subarnapur Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane said that the initiative has been launched with two major objectives – to take administration to the doorsteps of people and make them aware of various livelihood schemes of the government.
Being a remote tribal village, the residents of Radhanagar face many difficulties in realizing the fruits of various development programmes launched by the State Government.
Under the Jan Sampark Setu, the district administration officials have visited the village and interacted with the people. The officials have listened to the grievances of people and tried to resolve them.
The district administration also distributed some livelihood benefits by Veterinary Department.
The Jan Sampark Mela has received a positive response from the villagers of Radhanagar. The programme will take place in other remote areas in future, the Collector informed.
Before the start of the programme, the villagers gave the district administration officials a traditional welcome.
