Subarnapur: Recovered COVID-19 Patients Donate Plasma

Subarnapur: In response to appeals made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to recovered COVID-19 patients for plasma donation, two of the corona discharged patients in Subarnapur district have come forward to donate plasma for the treatment of serious patients.

“Two of our recovered Covid patients have donated plasma today at VIMSAR Burla”, informed Subarnapur Collector Monisha Banerjee through her Twitter handle.

The Collector appreciated their selflessness contribution and appealed to other recovered patients to come forward for donation of plasma.

“Two of our recovered Covid patients have donated plasma today at VIMSAR Burla. We appreciate their courage and thank them for their selflessness. We request more recovered patients to come forward for donation of plasma”, she tweeted.

Earlier today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the sixth Plasma Bank in Odisha at Saheed Laxman Naik (SLN) Medical College & Hospital in Koraput through video conferencing.

While inaugurating the plasma bank, the CM said  CM said, the plasma bank will not only set a new milestone but also strengthen the faith of tribal communities on advanced medical procedure.

He said plasma will be more easily available and accessible to all needy COVID-19 patients in Odisha. This is in line with the Government’s vision of enabling access to advanced healthcare for all and commitment to ensure nobody is deprived of advanced healthcare facilities, he added.

Citing that plasma is showing good results in patients, CM reiterated his appeal to all eligible Covid survivors to come forward to donate plasma to save precious lives.
