Bhubaneswar: A retired revenue inspector (RI) has been sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of one year in a bribery case.
The convicted official has been identified as Lingaraj Sahoo, Ex-RI (Retd), Gopna, PS-Lahunipada, Sundargarh.
Sahoo, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh for taking bribe, was convicted to 1 year jail and fine.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sahoo following his conviction.
