Sudney: India scalped three wickets this morning after a couple of short rain delays in the first session of day two of the third Test at the SCG on Friday.
While Ravindra Jadeja’s double-strike put break on Australia progress and wicket by Jasrpit Bumrah tilted scaled in the visitor’s favour.
From 206/2, Australia slumped to 249/5 at lunch at the end of first session.
Earlier in the morning, opener Labhuchagne and Smith looked settled though in the middle who piled a 100-run stand partnership for the third wicket.
Labhuchagne was patient and pounced on the loose deliveries to get runs. Jadeja removed Labhuchagne as Rahane at first slip took an excellent catch.
