Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, has urged all to take extra care of the elders and give them the love and respect they deserve.
He said that elderly persons are indispensable threads of our social fabric and play vital role in guiding us on the right path.

The World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) happens each year on June 15, The day aims to raise awareness about the plight of elderly people who are abused and harmed. The primary goal is to develop a better understanding of elder abuse and neglect by raising awareness about the cultural, social, economic, and demographic factors that influence such abuse and neglect.
