New Delhi: Tata Power Co Ltd all set to take over two electricity distribution companies including
Western Electricity Supply Company of Odisha
(WESCO) and the SOUTHCO Utility as it has emerged as the winner of the bid, reports said.
With the financial bids for these two Odisha discoms being opened on Thursday, Tata Power emerged as the successful bidder in the Odisha government’s electricity discoms’ privatization exercise, reports added.
Notably, Tata Power has already taken over the distribution and retail supply of power in five circles of Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (CESU Odisha) last December.
PwC and Deloitte are managing the sale of WESCO and SOUTHCO respectively.
