Angul: In a tragic incident, three persons were killed by elephant attack in Pateli village of Angul Forest Range in Angul district today morning. According to reports, the three persons were attacked by the elephant when they were on a morning troll in the nearby forest. Villagers found two of them dead at the spot and another person seriously injured. Two of the dead are identified as Shankar Biswal and Jhilli Manji, who died on the spot. Local villagers staged protests demanding compensation for the families of the dead persons and protection of property and lives from elephant attacks.
