Tiger Number Decreases in Odisha 

New Delhi: The number of tigers has decreased in Odisha. In 2018, there were 28 tigers in Odisha. The number has reduced to 20 in 2022, as per the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) report released by the Central Government on the occasion of International Tiger Day on Saturday.

According to the NTCA report, the number of tigers in the state has decreased by nearly 30 percent in the last four years. However, the number of tigers in the in Similipal TR has increased. While the number of tigers was 8 here in 2018, it has now increased to 16.
