Bhubaneswar: The Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly will start from today. Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal will address the House. Tight security arrangements have been put in place in and around the State Assembly. A three-tiered security apparatus has been activated and senior officials have been deputed for the purpose.
Odisha DGP Sunil Bansal yesterday reviewed the security arrangements along with Commissioner of Police and other senior officers. While the inside cordon will be in charge of the special branch, the Commissionerate Police personnel will look after the outer and inner cordons of the Assembly. Five control rooms have also been set up. Also, 30 platoons of police force, two DCPs, 10 additional DCPs, 11 ACPs, 13 IICs, 1000 ASIs will be engaged during the Session.
