Bhubaneswar: A full-fledged trial run of a new Vande Bharat Express train on the Howrah-Puri route will take place tomorrow, as per reports.
The trial run will be conducted from Howrah to Puri and back.
The train will start from Howrah at 6:10am and will be back to Howrah at 8:30pm with a two-minute stoppage at Kharagpur from 7:38am to 7:40 am in the up direction. The train will arrive in Puri at 12:35pm and will start from Puri at 1:50pm towards Howrah, as per reports.
The semi high speed train is likely to have limited stoppages between two stations. The new train was given a go-ahead after the Howrah to Khurda Road section’s speed was increased to 130 kmph.
The train is expected to run on the Puri-Bhubaneswar-Howrah route to cater to the pilgrims of Shree Jagannath Puri.
The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express train will initially run on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. The train is likely to start operating from next month.
