Twin City Lockdown: Commissionerate Police to Provide Online Vehicle Passes

Bhubaneswar: With the large number of people were seen in front of the Commissionerate Police office in Bhubaneswar for the ‘passes’, the Twin City Police Commissioner has announced to introduce an IT Platform by tomorrow to automate the process.

A huge confusion was also seen in the various police stations around the twin city.

In a tweet, the Twin City Police Commissioner, Dr. Sudhansu Sarangi said, “We will introduce an IT Platform by tomorrow to automate the process of issue of vehicle passes.”

“We’re cancelling process of issuing passes to emergency workers as many people are congregating & social distance can’t be maintained. Use your I-Card for now”, he added.

Sarangi further requested people not to congregate at police stations and said citizens who need to travel because of medical or other emergencies are being allowed to move around if there is a patient or medical papers.

“Don’t panic & congregate near police stations. Show your medical papers. That’s enough,” he added.
