Two Dead and Several Others Injured As Howrah-Mumbai Express Derails In Jharkhand

New Delhi: As many as two persons have died and more than twenty people received injuries when the Howrah-Mumbai Express Derailed early morning today at Badabamboo in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. According to reports, about eighteen bogies of the train derailed and movement of trains on the route have been affected. The incident has happened between Rajkharsawan and Badabambo stations at about around 4 AM and 80 kms from Jamshedpur Under Chakradharpur Railway Division of South Eastern Railways. Relief and rescue teams have been engaged at the spot and the injured passengers have been admitted to nearby hospitals. Rail movement on the Tata Nagar-Chakradharpur section of the South Eastern Railways has been completely affected due to the accident. Also, several trains have been cancelled or running on alternate routes.
