Bhubaneswar: Two farmers from Odisha have been conferred with the Best Achievers’ Award during the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Central Silk Board at Mysore.
The farmers are Madan Champia, Tasar Farmer from Harichandanpur block and Kuni Dehuri, Tasar Farmer cum Reeler of Bhagamunda Tasar Silk Park.
Madan Champia and Kuni Dehuri were conferred with the Best Achievers’ Award by Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, Govt of India at the event.
Spl. Secretary, Handloom, Textiles and Handicrafts Madhumita Rath and other senior officials from the Govt. of Odisha were present on the occasion.
