Two Sets Wheel Fixed to Three Chariots on Bhanuri Tithi

Puri: On the occasion of Bhanuri Tithi, chaka dera anukula ritual, which is known as fixing of wheels to chariot axles ritual, was performed today at the Bada Danda in the pilgrim city here.

The ritual was held after arrival of three Agyan Malas (garlands of consent from Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings) at the Ratha Khala from Srimandir.

The ritual was completed after Biswakarma servitors attached six wheels (two sets wheels) to axles of the three chariots.

More than 200 servitors are engaged in the chariot construction.

The servitors have been accommodated at Bhakta Niwas and are being provided with food there. From there, they are taken to Ratha Khala in a bus every day.
