Keonjhar: Two sub centre-health wellness centres in Odisha’s Keonjhar district have showcased their quality excellence and have set benchmarks in delivery of health services.
The Sub Centre-Health Wellness Centres at Junga and Daitari-A from Harichandanpur Block have been conferred with an ISO certification 9001:2015 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The certification has been given to the health centers for quality service delivery in the area of OPD, emergency services, diagnosis services under NIDAN programme, free distribution of drugs under NIRAMAYA, family planning, maternal & child health services, disease control programme, Yoga, counselling, non- communicable disease services, immunisation services, opthalmic and ENT screening services.
These are the first such facilities to get ISO certification in the State, informed Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard that outlines the criteria for a quality management system (QMS) highlighting consistent delivery of products and services that fulfil consumer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 9001 certification is a quality management system, issued to organizations who demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products & services that meet the customer & regulatory requirements.
