Bhubaneswar: An amount of Rs 5528 crore has been allocated for Odisha for various railway projects in the Union Budget for 2021-22.
The allocated amount is however much less than the state’s demand of Rs 7200-crore this year.

289 km Khurda Road–Balangir line is a rail line between Khurda Road Junction and Balangir- Rs 500 crore
98.7 km Angul Sukinda railway project – Rs 400 crore
82-km Haridaspur Paradip Railway – Rs 100 crore
154-km Bimlagarh-Talcher railway line – Rs 10 crore
130-km long Jeypore-Malkangiri New Line project- Rs 28 crore
The 38-km line connecting Nabarangpur with Jeypore – Rs 15 crore
Third BG railway line between Barang and Khurda through Bhubaneswar – Rs 20 crore
Sambalpur-Titlagarh railway line – Rs 25 crore
