Baripada: In yet another instance of highhandedness, misbehavior and using abusive unparliamentary language with government officials, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Bishweshwar Tudu has once again shown that he has no respect towards the Executive. The latest incident has come from his own constituency where Tudu has misbehaved with the senior officials of the district including the ADM during a review meeting.
As a mark of protest, the district association of officers of the Odisha Administrative Services today staged a Black batch protest against Bishweswar Tudu for his misbehavior. The protesting officers wore black batches to the office against the Minister’s unparliamentary language used in the review meeting.
According to Additional District Magistrate, Rudranarayan Mohanty, the minister used abusive language against the senior officials including the Collector during a meeting held on the 9th of this month. He scolded for no reason in an abusive manner. We condemn the language used by the Union Minister and have passed a resolution denouncing his behavior. We have also written to all district officials of the state to support us and condemn the incident.
This is not the first time that the Union Minister had behaved rudely and used abusive language against the senior officials. He had misbehaved with the Champua Sub-Collector few days back. He had also locked up the project administrator, ITDA of Rairangpur. There are reports that the Minister also misbehaved with the officials in a review meeting in Kuchinds last week.
In Keonjhar, during his visit to the Kanpur irrigation project in Champua sub-division, Bishewswar has reportedly scolded the Government officials.
