Bhubaneswar: Today is Odisha Day, or Utkal Divas. On the occasion, a photo exhibition about the formation of separate Odisha state was organized by the Information & Public Relations Department at Jaydev Bhawan here on Monday.
Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest. Principal Secretary of I&PR Department Sanjay Kumar Singh and other senior officials of the Department were present on the occasion.
The exhibition showcased eminent personalities of the soil, such as Parala Krushna Chandra Gajapati, Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, Fakir Mohan Senapati, Utkal Bharati Kuntala Kumari Sabat, Kanta Kabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra, former Chief Minister Nabakrushna Choudhury and legendary Biju Patnaik. It also showcased Brajasunder Das and Adineta Bichitrananda Das who were associated with Utkal Sammilani along with the 1936 and present map of Odisha.
