Pune: The third edition of Utkal Premier League 2019 (UPL 2019) ended on a high note here today creating a strong bond among the Odias residing in Maharashtra.
Organized by Spread Happiness, the tournament has seen participation of 16 teams comprising non-resident Odias.
Puri Sloggers beat Keonjhar Irons by 7 runs in the thrilling final and clinched the Utkal Premier League Season 3 title.
Chasing a victory of target of 92 runs in 15 overs, Keonjhar Irons managed to score 84 runs in the stipulated overs.
All-rounder Saroj Kumar of Puri Sloggers was awarded the Player of Match.
Earlier, Puri Sloggers defeated Bhubaneswar Jaguars and Keonjhar Irons thrashed Baleswar Bulls to reach the finals.
A total of Eight teams had participated in the UPL 2018, which was won by Bramhapur Blasters.
