Veterinary Senior Assistant in Vigilance Net for Accepting Bribe in Ganjam

Berhampur: A Senior Assistant at Sub Divisional Veterinary Officer of Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district has come under the scanner of vigilance department for allegedly accepting bribe a retired veterinary technician.

The corrupt officer has been identified as Manas Ranjan Das.
Das was caught red-handed by vigilance sleuths of Berhampur Division for accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from Jagabandhu Sethy, a retired veterinary technician of of Binchana village under Gangapur police station of Ganjam district.

The Senior Assistant has allegedly demanded the bribe for processing pensionary benefit file of Sethy.

The bribe money has been seized. The quarter and residential house of the accused are being raided, informed Santanu Kumar Padhi, SP, Vigilance of Berhampur Division.
