Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested Babuli Charan Padhihari, Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Injana Gram Panchayat, Bhubaneswar for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
During simultaneous raids on places linked to the GRS, the vigilance sleuths have traced assets including 59 plots in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, one triple storeyed building at Bhubaneswar worth over Rs. 1.2 crore,one house at Dadha, Bhubaneswar, one flat in Asirbad Plaza Apt, Bhubaneswar, one building at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar.
A team of 3 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and other staff conducted the searches on the strength of Search Warrants issued by Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
Padhihari, whose monthly salary is just Rs 8,500, was found in possession of assets worth crores of rupees.
