Bahanaga (Balasore): After the horrific tripe train accident near Bahanaga Railway Station in Balasore district on June 2, several dead bodies were stored in Bahanaga High School. For this, it is being said that the students have developed a kind of fear to go to the school.
In order to elude the fear in the minds of the students, Balasore Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde visited the Bahanaga High School and inspected the school premises where the dead bodies were kept. He held a meeting with the teachers and parents.
After visiting the school, the Balasore Collector said, “We respect the feelings of the people of the Bahanaga. Steps will be taken as per the decision of the school management committee”.
As some of school buildings are old with asbestos roofs, they can be demolished and new buildings will be constructed. The work will be done according to decision of the State Government, he said.
Efforts are being made to remove the fear and bring the students to school. The school was sanitized after the bodies were taken away, the Collector added.
