With Highest Single Day Spike of 1,45,384 Cases, India’s Active Caseload Crosses 10 Lakh

New Delhi: India has registered its highest single day spike of 1,45,384 fresh coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic.
With this, the coronavirus tally jumped to 1,32,05,0926.

In the last 24 hours, 794 people succumbed to the virus taking death toll to 1,68,436, according to Union Health Ministry data.
Active cases in the country have now crossed the 10 lakh-mark as the spike in cases triggers fresh restrictions in different parts.
This is the fourth straight day that the country has recorded more than 1 lakh cases in 24 hours.

Over 6.16 lakh infections have been reported just in the last five days. 3,335 people have died during this period.
