World Indigenous Peoples Day: Keonjhar Collector Attends Number of Welfare Activities

Keonjhar: On the occasion of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare today visited various places of the district and reviewed the development works.

He visited Kansa, Toranipani and Kundhei and interacted with the Multi Lingual Education teachers and students there. He also oversaw the children friendly education measures through wall paintings and the unique Speaking Wall.

Thakare visited Matru Sishu Poshan Kendra at Kundhei despite incessant rains and interacted with the Creche workers of Birahanuman Self-Help Group members regarding management of the Creche and daily routine works, health checkup and anthropometry.

Participating in a special program, the Collector distributed individual PVTH household cards to the Juanga Community and Village Development Committee Cards to the Secretaries of the VDCs.

He also distributed bicycles with Masson Tools, Carpenter Tools and Cycle repairing equipment to three PVTG beneficiaries.
