80-year old Adi Narayan Jena of Golanthra village in Rangeilunda block has survived the highly contagious virus and emerged triumphant after a 10 days ordeal.

Jena was discharged from Parala Maharaja COVID Care Centre on Monday after successful treatment. He is now keeping well and has absolutely no symptoms of coronavirus.

On being discharged, the octogenarian man has expressed his deep gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for facilitating proper treatment of COVID patients like him in the State.

Jena also thanked the Ganjam district administration and medical staffs for taking care of him.

Jena is now a good example of hope and courage to many Corona affected persons.

Notably, Adi Narayan Jena and his 74-year old wife Kuntala Jena tested positive for the virus and were admitted to the hospital on August 1.
