Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended Ganesh Mallick, Revenue Supervisor, Special Land Acquisition Office, Paradeep and Khirod Rath, Retired Amin for accepting bribe of Rs.4000 from a complainant to process the file for facilitating land acquisition payment.
As per the direction of Mallick, the retired Amin while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant, was nabbed today by the Vigilance Officials.
The entire bribe amount has been recovered from the possession of both Mallick and Rath.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at one location of each from DA angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case no.7 dt. 27-3-2024 U/s 7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons.
